This dish is normally a marinated barbecued beef but chicken or pork can also be used. Originally called 'Maekjeok', bulgogi is normally cooked over an open fire and can be grilled over an open flame on a skewer. Bulgogi is traditionally grilled. Garlic, onions, green peppers are often grilled or fried with selected meat. Dark Bulgogi is made with chicken and Dwaeji Bulgogi is made with pork.
